  • Adding the PlayMetrics App to Your Mobile Device

    For Apple Users

    Go to the Apple App Store and download the free PlayMetrics app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/playmetrics/id1450640824?mt=8). Once the app is installed, just log in using your PlayMetrics account email and password. 


    For Android Users

    Go to the Google Play Store and download the free PlayMetrics app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playmetrics&hl=en_US). After the app is installed, log in using your PlayMetrics account email and password. 


    Note: Be sure to check your app notification settings and your PlayMetrics communication preferences to ensure push notifications are enabled. 

  • Setting Communication Preferences

    PlayMetrics allows you to receive emails, SMS notifications (text messages), and push notifications via the mobile app on iOS and Android devices.


    Click Account in the left-hand menu and then click Settings to set your communication preferences.


    Note: On a mobile browser or the mobile app, tap your account role in the upper left hand corner or your screen. Next, tap Account toward the bottom of your screen and then tap Settings.


    This opens your account settings. Here you can change your communication preferences by checking and unchecking the appropriate boxes based on the notifications you want to receive. 


    In your account settings you can also add or update your mobile phone information, email address, and password.


    Below is an explanation of all the different communication preferences available: 


    Practices - These are for notifications that are triggered when a practice event is updated (time change, cancellation, etc.).

    Games - These are for notifications that are triggered when a game event is updated (time change, cancellation, etc.).

    Other Events - These are for notifications that are triggered when an other event is updated (time change, cancellation, etc.).

    Team Alerts - These are for alerts on a team level that are sent out by coaches and team managers (ex. team alerts, practice alerts, game alerts). 

    Club Alerts - These are for alerts on a club level that are sent out by admins and directors (ex. club alerts, field alerts). 

    Admin Alerts - These alerts are specific to those with an Admin role when it comes to financial aid requests, field notifications, and roster changes. 

    User Messages - These are for messages that are sent to your inbox in your messaging center.

    Chat Messages - These are for messages that are sent through PlayMetrics chat. 


    All boxes that are checked in push receive a push notification via the PlayMetrics app. All boxes that are checked for email receive an email. All boxes that are check for SMS receive a text message to their mobile device. You can customize your communication presences to include any combination of those communication preferences.


    Note: Push notifications require you to have the PlayMetrics app installed on your mobile device. For information on how install the PlayMetrics app please see the article Adding the PlayMetrics app to your mobile device. Push notifications are the only available communication preference for Chat messages.

  • Adding Additional Family Contacts as a Player Contact

    If you are the account owner for a player, you control who has access to your player’s information, such as friends and family members. From your account, you can grant and revoke access to new users. Granting access to a new account allows the account holder to:

    • See the player's game, practice, and event calendar
    • View player evaluations
    • Send and receive communications through PlayMetrics
    • Edit their own communication settings
    • Change player information, such as birth date, jersey number, and photo
    • Set player attendance for upcoming games, practices, and other events

    Note: Family contacts are not able to invite new contacts. Only you (the account owner) can invite new contacts. Family contacts are not able to see your billing information and vice versa. 


    On Mobile

    Tap the Menu icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. 

    From here, tap Family Contacts.

    Next, tap the + icon.

    From the Add Family Contact screen, you can connect an existing family member with a player, or you can select New Contact to add a new person. Complete the family member's contact details, then select the player(s). Click the the Invite Contact button.


    On Desktop

    Navigate to Family Contacts in the left-hand menu.

    From here, click the Add Family Contact button in the upper right-hand corner.

    From the Add Family Contact screen, you can connect an existing family member with a player, or you can select New Contact to add a new person. Complete the family member's contact details, then select the player(s). Click the the Invite Contact button.


    Inviting contacts sends an invitation email to the entered email address of the new user. After the new user registers, they have access to the selected player's information.

  • How to Add a Player (Player Contacts)

    As a player contact, you have the ability to add players to your account as needed. 


    Adding a New Player

    In your player contact role, navigate to Home in the left-hand menu.


    Click the Add Player hyperlink on the right side of your screen.


    Provide your player's name, birthdate, and gender. If you need to add multiple children at once, you can click Add Another Player and continue adding their information. After you are finished, click the Add Player(s) button.


    The menu closes and you are returned to the Home page in your account. The newly added player(s) appears in your list of players on the right-hand side of the screen.

  • How do I view my Team Calendar?

    As a Coach, Team Manager, or Player Contact, click the appropriate Team under My Teams.


    Click the Calendar tab to view your Team's event Calendar. Click the icons in the upper left corner of the Calendar to change the view by month, week, and list. 


    On the right side of the Calendar, you can choose to filter the view by selecting or deselecting Teams (if you are assigned to multiple) or Event Type. Click into a specific event to see its details, or to edit it (if applicable).
